East Yorkshire and surrounding areas
A website your business deserves.
Bespoke websites, built from scratch around your business. Fixed prices, with nothing to pay monthly afterwards.
What you get
Curated and built around your business.
Every site is designed from scratch, shaped around your business rather than dropped into a template. Here's what that covers.
Designed around you
Sit together while it takes shape, or have a few directions drawn up and presented back. Both work.
One fixed price
Agreed before anything starts. It doesn't move. No hourly billing, no surprises at the end.
Nothing monthly
Once it's built, the site is yours. No platform subscription quietly taking money every month.
Domain and email, handled
Your own domain set up for you, with an address like you@yourbusiness.co.uk.
Found further afield
Set up for search and linked to your Google listing, so people can find you whether they're next door or searching from further away.
Payments and bookings
Take card payments, deposits or online bookings, built in from the start when your business needs them.
How it works
First chat to live site, inside a week.
We talk
What you do, who your customers are, what the site needs to achieve. You get a fixed price and a date.
It takes shape
The design comes together around your business. You see it early and steer it.
It gets built
Pages, forms, payments, the lot. Two rounds of changes are included.
It goes live
On your own domain, set up and handled for you. The site is yours.
Picture your own
Type your business name. Try it on.
Every build starts with a look that fits the business. Type your name in and flick through a few directions to get a feel for it.

Chain & Furlong
£575 · live in 7 days
Chain & Furlong is a fictional two-person mapmaking studio, and their website is their own survey sheet. There is no menu. The whole screen is a hand-drawn map of a valley, and every page is a place on it. Choose The Studio and the sheet pans across to the byre on Ash Hill, drawing your route in red as it goes.
The compass in the corner tells you how far you walked, how long it would take on foot and how much climbing was involved, worked out from the real contours using Naismith's rule, the same formula hillwalkers use. Your routes stay on the map for the rest of your visit, and a running count of miles walked ticks up in the corner.
None of it is a photograph. The terrain is generated the moment the page loads: layered height tints, 20 metre contours, a river the contours bend around, woodland, lanes, footpaths, spot heights and grid numbers in the margins. It comes from a fixed seed, so every visitor sees exactly the same valley.
The commissions page holds six different maps, an estate, a forty-year walk, a wedding, an allotment, a farm and a vineyard, each one drawn by code and unique to the client it belongs to. Field notes are pinned to the places they were written, so a link in a paragraph can carry you to a hillside. The enquiry page is not a contact form. It is a three-question brief, with paper sizes drawn as nested sheets to choose between.
The whole site is one file. No framework, no plugins, no image files, no build step. It loads fast and runs smoothly on a phone because only two properties are ever animated. This is the level of build where the interface is designed around the business rather than fitted to a template.

Keeping it fresh doesn't cost much either.
A website isn't finished the day it launches. Prices change, hours change, you add a new service. Two easy ways to keep on top of it, whichever suits you.
Send over whatever needs changing — new prices, new photos, updated hours, a bit of wording — and it gets done, no invoice, no fuss.
- ✓ Up to 5 updates in any rolling 30 days
- ✓ Usually turned around within 2 working days
- ✓ Request by email or WhatsApp, any time
- ✓ Cancel whenever you like, no contract
Not ready for a monthly plan? No problem. Pay only when you need something changed, whenever that is.
- ✓ One round of changes
- ✓ No commitment, no plan to cancel
- ✓ Usually turned around within 2 to 3 working days
- ✓ Ask again any time, months or years later
An update means content changes — text, prices, photos, hours, small tweaks to existing pages. New pages, new features or a bigger redesign are quoted separately, always agreed with you before any work starts.
Send them my way. When their site goes live, £50 comes back to you — cash, bank transfer, or off your own care plan, your choice. No forms, no limit on how many. They just need to mention your name.

Questions people ask
Your logo if you have one, some photos, your prices and opening details, and a rough idea of what each page should say. If you don't have photos or text, say so early and we'll work around it.
Half up front to book the build in, half when the site goes live. The price is fixed before anything starts and it doesn't move unless you add something new.
Two rounds of changes are included once you see the first version. After that, further changes are charged at an agreed hourly rate, always told to you in advance.
Yes. The site, the domain and everything on it is yours. You can edit it, move it, or have someone else work on it.
Nothing compulsory. Your domain renews yearly with the registrar, typically £8 to £15, and hosting is set up on a free platform on your behalf. The Care Plan below is entirely optional, for anyone who'd rather not think about updates themselves.
Thirty days of free fixes for anything that's broken — not new content, just things that aren't working as they should.
Two options. The Care Plan is £15 a month and covers up to 5 updates in any rolling 30 days, usually turned around within 2 working days — cancel any time. If you'd rather not commit to a plan, one-off updates are £30 each, whenever you need one, with no ongoing obligation.
Content changes to existing pages — text, prices, photos, opening hours, small wording tweaks. New pages, new features, or a bigger redesign are quoted separately and always agreed with you first.

About
Hello, I'm Ben.
I'm based in Howden, East Yorkshire. I build websites for small businesses.
Rosedale Websites exists because of a gap I kept seeing: good local businesses with no website, or an old one they were embarrassed by, or a monthly subscription quietly draining money for something built off a template. It doesn't have to be like that.
Every site is built right, from scratch, shaped around the business rather than dropped into a template. You deal with one person from the first conversation to the day it goes live, the price is agreed before anything starts, and once it's built the site is yours.
What's included
Everything a website can do.
Not every site needs everything on this list — most don't. This is the full menu, so you can see what's actually possible and pick out what your business would use. If it's not on your quote, it's because you don't need it, not because it's not available.
